Office worker Helen meets wealthy Royce at a skating rink. She conceals her working class background from him, pretending to live at the mansion where her mother is employed as a cook. Her mother agrees to go along with the deception but only temporarily, warning Helen that she must eventually be honest with Royce. Royce’s former girlfriend Becky, whose father owns the company where Helen works, discovers the truth. Royce says it doesn’t matter to him, he loves Helen.
