Jo Ann is humiliated when her father is involved in a business scandal. She gets a job with lawyer Claymore over her father’s objections. Although she is attracted to her father’s co-worker Bob, an ex-Marine, she doesn’t think he has a future and makes a play for Claymore’s wastrel son Randy instead. Jo Ann, who had argued with her father and Bob, learns the Claymores framed her father for a highway construction accident and were also behind his previous problems. She arranges to have her father cleared but is too ashamed to apologize to her father and Bob. “Perhaps someday.”
