Lora's military family expects her to marry West Point cadet Johnny, but she prefers Larry, who intends to go into his father's business. When Lora's father is transferred to West Point, Lora has to go along; Larry promises to marry her as soon as he can support them both. However, after some time, Lora realizes the Army life is all she's ever known and she belongs there. Having not heard from Larry, Lora assumes he isn't going to fulfill his commitment to her, and she marries Johnny.
