Tom and Ceil are engaged, but when he decides to give up his architecture career for the security of being a vice-president in his father’s cannery, they break up. Ceil becomes a dress designer for Madame Sophie in New York. One day a woman brings a sketch of a wedding gown she wants Ceil to make for her, and Ceil recognises it as the gown she designed for her wedding to Tom. Tom shows up: the woman was his secretary, and he used her to find Ceil. Ceil and Tom apologize to each other and decide to reconcile.
