Athletic Janice and Jim are in love, but she contracts infantile paralysis. She recovers but will walk with a limp from now on. Jim dumps her. Janice moves to the country and gets a job working at a kennel. She meets Dick and they fall in love quickly, but Janice is careful never to expose her disability. Dick’s ex-girlfriend Lola reveals this to Dick; Janice drives away and is involved in a crash. In the hospital, Dick says her doesn’t care that she’s “crippled.” However, as it turns out, the doctor says “we’ve re-examined your leg and think we can cure it.”
