Romeo #29 August 1964
In "Those in Love," a quiet moment by the pool sets off a chain of small but sharp emotions as Sherry’s injury draws unexpected kindness from the boys—much to the surprise of her friends Bett and Karen. When they later exclude her from a sailing trip, Sherry finds herself unexpectedly cheered by two French boys she meets on a funicular, only to see her moment of triumph stolen when Bett and Karen pull the same charm on her. Guido Buzzelli’s expressive art brings the subtle tensions and fleeting joys of teenage friendship to life, while Norman Lee’s cover captures the bittersweet mood of the moment.
