Secret Avengers #2

Two enormous faces — Nick Fury Jr. and Phil Coulson, both in shades — loom on either side of the cover like bookends to the cosmos, while a lone figure tumbles helplessly through open space between them, Earth glowing blue below and the moon hanging overhead. Tradd Moore's bold, graphic design makes the scale feel genuinely vertiginous, and the crosshair-adorned Avengers "A" logo anchors the whole striking composition. With Aleš Kot writing, Michael Walsh on art, and Matthew Wilson's cool blue palette doing heavy lifting, "Save the Empire Part Two" looks every bit as sharp as IGN's pull-quote suggests.
