Jan visits Ann Martin at Romance Inc. and tells her story. She loved Paul, but learned via a letter from his friend Bill that Paul was married. Paul admits it, but wants to continue his relationship with Jan and she refuses. Miss Martin praises Jan’s ethical decision and introduces her to Bill, who mistakenly thought Jan was after Paul's money. Bill and Jan fall in love, but he then falsely believes she’s returned to Paul. Miss Martin straightens it out, and Bill and Jan reconcile.
