“"I'll Take Manhattan..."”

In "I'll Take Manhattan...", the Beyonder, struggling to grasp the complexities of human life, seeks guidance from Spider-Man—only to be redirected to Reed Richards, overwhelmed by his own battles with Malice and the Hate Monger. After encountering a homeless woman who points him toward the heroes for hire, the Beyonder’s journey takes a surprising turn when Luke Cage, furious over a perceived slight, declares life is about money—prompting the Beyonder to transform their office building into gold, leaving Spidey speechless as the scene unfolds. Written by Jim Shooter and illustrated by Al Milgrom, with inks by Leialoha and Rubinstein, lettering by Parker and Rosen, and colors by M. Hands, the cover by Al Milgrom captures the moment in bold, striking detail.
