The Beyonder contemplates his next move as he has vowed to destroy the multiverse but fears he would miss it. Instead, he decides to create a machine that will let him experience mortality. He finds the sensation both terrifying and thrilling but quickly becomes addicted to the feeling. He figures out a way for the machine to birth him as a mortal being but with a portion of his cosmic powers intact. While he is gestating in the machine, however, the heroes of Earth arrive. Molecule Man destroys the device, sending the Beyonder's energy back to his old dimension where a new universe is born.
