Secrets of Love and Marriage #2
"Explanation Not Necessary" in Secrets of Love and Marriage #2 (1957) is a quiet, poignant story of second chances, anchored by Ken Battefield’s expressive art and Ed Hamilton’s clean lettering. When Anise, still reeling from her ex-boyfriend Herb’s marriage, finds refuge in a remote cabin, she stumbles upon Les, a war veteran living in isolation—only to find herself drawn into a fragile, healing connection. Dick Giordano and Vince Alascia’s cover captures the story’s emotional tension with subtle, evocative detail.
