Drawn from the world of Hellboy, this penultimate chapter of the four-issue miniseries crackles with supernatural energy. Michael Avon Oeming's cover depicts a young figure channeling glowing green tendrils from a cauldron, surrounded by specimen jars filled with strange creatures, while three determined companions — two wielding swords — stand ready in the foreground. Chris O'Halloran's eerie green palette gives the whole scene a wonderfully unsettling alchemical atmosphere that makes this one hard to pass by on the shelf.
