Captain Amazing has given up on sidekicks since his last one -- his cat Manny -- broke his heart. But troubled by both advancing age and a peanut allergy, he decides to try again. His pets Roscoe, Fluffy, and Shifty don masks to audition for the position in disguise. Fluffy and Shifty even get training from the estranged (but still-active) Manny. Disguised as Wonder Man, Dr. Havoc uses a DNA transfer device to steal Amazing's powers. But he also acquires the allergy, and Fluffy brings Havoc low with peanuts. Manny and Harve are reconciled, and Harve makes plans to retire.
