The penultimate chapter of Garth Ennis and Russ Braun's six-issue miniseries sends Section 8's oddballs somewhere unexpected — straight into orbit, if Steve Dillon's cover is any indication. Four figures in orange launch suits stand before a space shuttle lifting off in a billowing cloud of fire and smoke, and the crew includes the familiar faces of Sixpack and Dogwelder alongside what appears to be a tentacled creature and a dog suited up for the mission. It's a wonderfully absurd image that captures exactly the tone Ennis has brought to these beloved DC misfits throughout 2017.
