This anthology issue contains two military action stories. "The Lieutenant Nobody Liked" follows Charlie Company, whose commanding officer Lieutenant Wesley Dean is unpopular with his men until their equipment goes missing and they are reassigned to Korea, where his leadership proves invaluable in combat. "Hard Luck Platoon" features a platoon known for misfortune that ships out to Korea; when their equipment is lost, they must improvise and prove themselves in battle against Korean forces, with the men ultimately recognizing their officer's competence under fire.
