# Sparkle Comics #22 (June 1952) An anthology comic featuring multiple stories: The Spark Man engages in a military operation in Algeria with allied forces, negotiating with tribal leaders and formalizing a combat alliance as enemy aircraft fly overhead. Captain and the Kids depicts slapstick comedy involving the titular characters and their domestic misadventures, including scenes with food and physical humor. Race Riley and the Commandos, by Milburn Rosser, follows Race impersonating Marc Duval in France as he aids French saboteurs in a plan to dynamite a German anti-aircraft unit, involving the interception of contraband soup intended to feed Bolshevik soldiers.
