Sparkler Comics #48

Sparkler Comics #48 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Volto from Mars" follows the magnetic-powered alien hero Volto as he assists Jimmy, a volunteer vacation-time messenger, in thwarting enemy agents who attempt to capture a dastardly spy ring and intercept a telegram to a munitions plant; the story culminates with Volto and the G-Men visiting a cereal plant to recover Volto's lost magnetic powers. "Bombo" depicts the rotund character causing chaos at Bilty's house with his clumsy antics, leading to a confrontation with butlers and property damage. A third story features a female character in green evading pursuit while hiding a bullet-proof metal object, ultimately concealing it in a chest before being discovered by a man in a blue hat.
