This anthology issue features a Sherlock Holmes story in which the detective investigates a case involving Joe Katone and his associate Dunhover, who attempt to purchase machine guns from a hardware store in a scheme connected to the notorious Brady mob. After FBI agents become involved and a shootout ensues, Brady and his gang are killed in a violent confrontation. The issue also includes a separate crime story about Marino, a smuggler transporting contraband through Canada who becomes trapped in a roadblock and is forced to flee, eventually disappearing with hidden American dollars sewn into his shoe before resurfacing in Spain years later.
