Spider-Man Comics Weekly #4
In "Unmasked by Dr. Octopus!", a weakened Peter Parker faces his nemesis at his most vulnerable, as Doc Ock uses Betty Brant as bait during a bout of the 24-hour flu. When the web-slinger is unmasked in a brutal fight, the public mistakes his suffering for a bold ruse—leaving him to reclaim his identity on his own terms. Written by Stan Lee and illustrated with eerie precision by Steve Ditko, this 1973 Marvel UK classic sees Spider-Man push through chaos and wild animals unleashed from the zoo, all while the cover by Jim Starlin and Mike Esposito captures the moment of shocking revelation.
