“Identity Crisis”

In "Identity Crisis," Peter Parker wakes up after Aunt May's wedding to find he’s spent the night with his roommate Michele—except he can’t remember a thing. When Michele storms off in anger, Peter’s day spirals into chaos: a mysterious electrical surge sparks a fire in the Empire State Building, forcing him into action as Spider-Man, while Mary Jane oversleeps and stands him up at the wedding. Back home, Michele’s unexpected gesture of cookies offers a quiet, uncertain moment of connection. Written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Mario Alberti, with colors by Andres Mossa and letters by Joe Caramagna, this 2009 issue features a cover by John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson.

Peter wakes up the day after Aunt May's wedding to find he has gone to bed with his roommate Michele. When he admits that he can't remember what happened, Michele angrily kicks him out of the apartment. Peter wanders around town trying to find a new place to stay but has to take time out as Spider-Man to rescue people from a fire in the Empire State Building which began with a strange electrical surge. Peter tries to keep a date he made with Mary Jane at the wedding but she oversleeps and stands him up for once. Peter returns home to find Michele has baked him cookies as a make up gift.
