Spider-Man: Return of the Black Cat #[nn]
In "Long-Term Arrangement [Part 1]," Spider-Man faces off against Lady Stilt-Man, only to find himself unexpectedly aided—and then betrayed—by Deadpool. Written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Eric Canete with colors by Andres Mossa and letters by Joe Caramagna, this 2010 Marvel issue sets a high-stakes tone as a twisted game of "the dozens" unfolds between the web-slinger and the merc with a mouth. The cover, by J. Scott Campbell, captures the chaotic energy of the clash, while the story takes a sharp turn when Spider-Man realizes he’s been used as a distraction—leaving Mattie Franklin in peril and the true threat still lurking.

Spider-Man takes on Lady Stilt-Man. He gets a little assistance from Deadpool but soon discovers that Deadpool has merely saved him from Lady Stilt-Man so that he can dispose of him himself. Deadpool has been hired by Ana Kravinoff and her mother to kill Spider-Man and their fast and furious battle ends in a deadly serious game of "the dozens." Deadpool is called off by kid Kraven and leaves a very confused Spider-Man wondering what the heck just happened. It turned out that Deadpool was a diversion so that Ana could attack and capture Mattie Franklin, without any interference.
