Written by Archie Goodwin and Bill Mantlo, with art by Don Perlin and inks by Jim Mooney, this 1981 adventure features vibrant colors by Don Warfield and a striking cover by Ron Wilson and Dan Adkins.

Eftersom han är pank accepterar Spindelmannen ett erbjudande från B-filmsregissören Barney Miller om att agera filmmonster. Specialeffektsmakaren Klemmer blir rasande över att hans dräkter ratas. Inom kort saboteras filminspelningen av Spindelpatrullen – tre brottslingar som bär Klemmers spindeldräkter. Spindelmannen spårar skurkarna till en bondgård och undgår knappt att sprängas i bitar av hjärnan bakom brottet – producenten Anton DeLionatus! Klemmer visar sig vara oskyldig; producenten har iscensatt det hela för att få ut försäkringspengar.
