Sylvie's life in Seattle is an unsatisfying routine. She likes her job in a bookstore, but it's likely the store may move or close. She tries to date, but it never goes well. One bright spot is she has vivid dreams where she is someone else -- a milkmaid, a boxer, an elementary-school teacher, a go go dancer. One day, Sylvie get an anonymous text asking her to come to a nearby park for an unspecified emergency. Thinking it may be from a friend, she goes to the park and gets inexplicably lost. Then in a clearing, she finds an unconscious woman in a fairy-tale dress who looks just like her.
