Harvey Comics' "tuff little ghost" takes center stage in this April 1974 entry, as a scowling Spooky — complete with his tiny black hat — charges through the yard of a crumbling haunted house under a crescent moon, sending a scrambling crew of small creepy-crawlies (a green monster, a purple worm, a spider, and friends) fleeing in all directions. The cover also teases the full roster of Harvey favorites — Poil, Casper, the Ghostly Trio, and Wendy — in cheerful portrait panels along the side. "House Warming" promises the kind of lighthearted spooky fun that made Spooky Haunted House a reliable treat for young readers in 1974.
