Spotty the Pup tries to sell a vacuum cleaner to a homeowner, demonstrating its power by sucking up dirt and claiming it will cut housework in half, but the lady decides to cancel her order after learning the machine's true cost. The issue also contains "The Haunted House," a story in which Billy Goat and Gilda Goose search a field for buried treasure after being tricked by a prospector, ultimately discovering dinosaur bones that Billy mistakenly values as a fortune. Additionally, "Dilly the Pig" features Dilly attempting to find buried gold in the Klondike, where he is duped by a con artist into believing a pig is a genuine gold-pointer worth one hundred dollars.
