Karen had lost her memory of a year spent in London, but Jon wants to marry her despite the objections of his mother. Honeymooning in London, Karen's memory of the missing year returns and she remembers how she had married Charlie. But the marriage wasn't legal because Charlie was still married to his first wife. Charlie had been sent to prison on another charge, but now Charlie shows up and starts to blackmail Karen. Meanwhile, poison pen letters are being sent to Jon and his mother about Karen.
