Star Love Stories #186
"A World of Their Own" in Star Love Stories #186 (1967) follows young lovers Gordon and Jenny as they attempt to elope by boat, only to collide with a mysterious vessel in a thick mist—leading them straight into the midst of a recently escaped bank robbery crew. Drawn together by circumstance and separated from the world they knew, their quiet romance suddenly plunges into danger. The story unfolds with quiet tension, its emotional core grounded in the art of Ted Robertson, whose expressive linework captures every quiet moment and sudden turn. The cover, by Josep Maria Miralles, perfectly encapsulates the story’s mood—romance veiled in mystery, with a single boat lost in fog.

Something had happened during the war to cause Major Ross to refuse to speak with Brigadier Blake. So since Jenny's father won't give her permission to even see Gordon, much less marry him, the young couple decide to elope via Gordon's small boat. But in the thick mist their boat collides with a larger boat. With their own boat destroyed, they are pulled aboard the other boat to discover they are among a gang that have just pulled off a bank robbery.
