After her widowed doctor father died, Sue was offered a job as a secretary to a young doctor who had been acquainted with her father. Wanting to continue the type of work she did for her father, Sue accepts the job. Later, she meets a fashion photographer who is waiting to see the doctor. Not knowing the doctor has fallen in love with her, Sue is swept away by the photographer and soon she becomes a famous model. But the photographer's interest in her wanes when she is involved in an accident with a New York cab that scars her cheek.
