Karen worked at the record counter in a large London store, but was determined to be a famous pop singer. When she hears music coming from the basement flat, she meets members of an aspiring pop group. Karen is intrigued by the lead singer and composes a song "Fascinating Guy" about him. When Harry hears it, he realizes Karen has a real talent for songwriting and plays on her feelings for him so he can take the credit for her song.
