All the nurses at a country hospital try to catch Dr. Long's eye, but none of them have any success. To relieve the boredom, Wendy makes a bet with the other nurses that she can get a date with him. Her tactic of not throwing herself at him like the other nurses seems to be working until he finds out about the bet. Back in medical school, the other students had played a joke on him by setting him up with a pretty girl. Since then he had been wary of any girl trying to make fun of him.
