Lwaxana Troi is leading a diplomatic mission to the planet Eregeus and several Enterprise officers and crew are enlisted to accompany her. During the meeting they are attacked and six people are abducted. The six soon discover that Troi, Worf, and Dr. Selar now inhabit the bodies of Alexander, Mrs. Troi and Geordi for some unknown purpose.
