The second chapter of Dark Visions arrives with a cover by Greg Smallwood that's genuinely unsettling in the best way — Darth Vader looms at the top, his black helmet and sweeping cape framing a terrified Imperial officer whose agonized face glows blood-red, a crimson beam connecting him downward to a Star Destroyer bathed in that same ominous light. It's a striking visual metaphor for the fear Vader inspires throughout the Empire, rendered with moody, painterly restraint. Writer Dennis Hallum, artist Brian Level, and colorist Jordan Boyd continue this five-part anthology with what promises to be another tense, Vader-centric tale.
