Tolo and the Jammers get their ship back in working order and make it to the Thorn world. Tolo meets Hepzibah and joins the Thorn pirates. A cadre of Union Defense Corps soldiers land on the planet and cut down the Thorn as they steal more Hyrax seeds for the Committee. Tolo decides that they should go directly to Princess Sabra and let her know what is going on in her government.
