“Lightning and Stars, Part 3 of 4”

In "Lightning and Stars, Part 3 of 4," Starman faces off against Captain Marvel in Opal City as tensions rise over the capture of James Barr. Written by James Robinson and illustrated with striking detail by Tony Harris—whose cover pencils and inks define the issue's dramatic tone—this pivotal chapter sees Starman buy time for his father and Barr to reach Fawcett City, only to be overpowered in a tense confrontation. With the O'Dares and Opal City police stepping in, Captain Marvel’s resolve wavers, and he departs, leaving Starman to pursue his father’s mission.
