In "Don't You Know There's a War On?", Starman is captured by the Power Elite, only to be snatched away by alien invaders who see him as a key to their conquest. The Power Elite have captured Starman so that his powers can be transferred to them, but the alien invaders want Starman's power for themselves and take him away. He's rescued by three heroes who enlist him in the fight against the invasion, traveling to the South Pacific to overtake a Khund outpost with the help of Easy Company of the US Army. They find Adam Strange and free him, then are summoned by Captain Atom to a war council in Washington.
