“How Do You Did?”

In "How Do You Did?", Steve Canyon finds himself stranded in the Canadian wilderness after a bush pilot's flight goes awry, forced to navigate not just the harsh terrain but the uneasy company of a mysterious backwoodsman and a passenger with secrets. With the landscape itself a silent witness, Steve must rely on his wits and the uncertain alliances of his fellow survivors—each with their own hidden pasts. Written and illustrated by Milton Caniff, with contributions from Noel Sickles, William Overgard, and Dick Rockwell, this 1986 issue from Kitchen Sink Press features a cover by Caniff and Peter Poplaski, capturing the rugged tension of a journey where trust is as scarce as shelter.

In an effort to get home and marry Summer, Steve hitches a ride from Alaska to Seattle with a bush pilot and an odd collection of passengers. But the plane is downed in the Canadian wilderness by weather. Their first encounter is with a backwoodsman possibly on the run from the Canadian police. And one of the party may be a fleeing felon as well.
