Storm Shadow brings Anibal to his family's mountain retreat and spends months in both meditation and efforts to convince Storm Shadow to kill him in battle. One of their sparring sessions is interrupted by two Red Ninjas Storm Shadow had nearly killed in Spain; Anibal dies of natural causes before the ninjas can slay him, but the stitches binding their old wounds from Storm Shadow burst open due to exertion, causing both ninjas' deaths.
