Submarine Attack #30

A U.S. submarine engages a Soviet vessel after discovering its torpedo hatch ports opening, with a Soviet captain ordering his crew to prepare weapons in response. During the ensuing battle, the American captain witnesses a massive, mutated dinosaur emerge from the depths and attack both vessels, mortally wounding the Soviet sub. The U.S. submarine crew discovers that the creature was unleashed by underground atomic bomb tests conducted by the Russians in a remote mountain region, and they return to patrol, pondering whether this nuclear-spawned menace might threaten future naval warfare.
