Sun #88 is an anthology comic featuring multiple stories. "Young Joey in Story-book Land" follows a boy and his dog Whitakers on adventures involving Captain Bligh and encounters with cheese. "Rogues of Sherwood Forest" recounts Robin Hood's exploits as he and Little John seek Friar Tuck at Fountains Abbey to obtain funds, leading to a battle with Norman soldiers and a dramatic encounter with an arrow. Additional stories include "A Ticket to Tomahawk," "The Black Rose," "The Chums of St Clements" featuring Lord Tich and various misadventures, and "Sammy Shuteye Saves the Treat."
