Sunfire & Big Hero Six #3
In "Land of the Rising Sun Part 3," Big Hero 6 confronts Everwraith, a spectral enemy born from the lingering souls of WWII nuclear victims, as the team faces their most haunting battle yet. With Sunfire on the brink of death, his final act of sacrifice halts the threat—yet Hiro’s unwavering belief in his hero’s survival hints at something deeper. Written by Scott Lobdell, Steve Seagle, and Duncan Rouleau, with art by Gus Vazquez and inks by Bud LaRosa, this 1998 Marvel issue blends emotional weight with supernatural stakes, all rendered in striking colors by LeeAnn Denham and sharp lettering by Richard Starkings and Comicraft. The cover, inks by Bud LaRosa, captures the moment’s intensity.
