In "The Monster Menace!", the Super Friends aid a woman in reclaiming what she insists are her family's long-lost heirlooms—only to face a series of eerie monsters blocking their path. Written by E. Nelson Bridwell and illustrated by Ramona Fradon, with inks by Bob Smith and colors by Anthony Tollin, this 1978 adventure unfolds with unexpected twists, as the objects turn out to be Sinestro’s old power ring and battery, and the so-called monsters reveal themselves as alien allies. The cover, by Ramona Fradon and Bob Smith, captures the tension of the moment.
