“Le début de l'avenir”

"Le début de l'avenir" marks a pivotal moment in the multiverse saga, with Marv Wolfman and George Pérez delivering a story that redefines the stakes of cosmic conflict. As the final battle rages across Earth and the Antimatter universe, Superman [Earth-2], Superboy Prime, Lois Lane Kent [Earth-2], and Alex Luthor Jr. vanish into limbo after a decisive victory—leaving only Psycho Pirate [Roger Hayden], Pariah, Harbinger, and Lady Qwark to remember what once was. George Pérez’s dynamic art, with Jerry Ordway’s inks and Tom Ziuko’s colors, brings the epic scale to life, while Neal Adams’ cover captures the weight of this turning point in a 14 FRF comic from 1987.

The final battle between the Antimonitor and the heroes begins on 2 fronts: one on Earth, the other in the Antimatter universe. After great loss and suffering on both fronts, Superman [Earth-2] delivers the final blow to the Antimonitor and goes into a limbo alongside Superboy Prime, his wife Lois Lane Kent [Earth-2], and Alex Luthor Jr. never to be seen again for a long time. The only other person left to ever remember how the multiverse truly once existed as it did is Psycho Pirate [Roger Hayden], besides Pariah, Harbinger, and Lady Qwark.
