Chamäleonboy findet heraus, dass damals ein Legionär Ultraboy den Mord an An Ryd anhängen wollte, wird jedoch überrascht und schwer verletzt. Wildfeuer findet den Verwundeten und wertet die Daten aus dem Flugring aus. Gerade als er seine Neuigkeiten den anderen Legionären mitteilen will, wird er durch einen mysteriösen Eindringling, den Todesboten, unterbrochen. Dieser erklärt den Legionären, dass er das Universum vernichten will und dazu das Wesen Omega benutzt. Mon-El unterliegt im Kampf mit dem Ungetüm.
