Clark Kent hilft Professor Lang bei einem Experiment mit Ambrosia (dem Trank der Götter). Das Experiment geht schief und sie werden nach einer Explosion unter Trümmern begraben. Lana kommt zufällig herein als Clark die schweren Trümmer bewegt. Clark sieht nur einen Ausweg. Er gibt an, aus Versehen etwas Ambrosia getrunken zu haben und dadurch stark geworden zu sein. Dies ist die Geburtsstunde des Super-Clark. Lex Luthor beschiesst Superboy mit einem Energieabsorber, so daß er seine Kräfte verliert. Superboy sieht nur einen Ausweg: Funktioniert das Ambrosia wirklich?
