In "Geständnis auf Tonband," Jimmy Olsen stages a massive Superman showcase featuring lifelike robots that demonstrate the Man of Steel’s powers—only for Superman to secretly swap places with one. Unaware, Jimmy places a crown on the robot’s head, unknowingly embedding a shard of green kryptonite within it. As the device activates, Superman is paralyzed, and with two criminals closing in on the exhibition, chaos looms. Written by Otto Binder and illustrated by Curt Swan with inks by Ray Burnley, this 1970 classic features a cover by Neal Adams that captures the tension perfectly.
