Superman: Doomed #[nn]
In "Prelude, Part 1" of Superman: Doomed, Lois Lane falls under Brainiac’s control as Superman—caught between his human heart and a monstrous transformation into Doomsday—returns to Earth to fight back. With Batman, Lex Luthor, Shay Veritas, Harrow, and the Ghost Soldier assessing the threat, Martian Manhunter, Baka, and the Ghost Soldier work to keep Superman grounded. As Lois is freed and joins forces with Metallo, the team clears the Kryptonite from the air, allowing Superman to reclaim himself—only to face a battle that’s far from finished. Written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Ken Lashley, Aaron Kuder, and a team of artists, the issue’s cover by Aaron Kuder captures the moment’s intensity.
