Superman Géant #11
In "L'homme à l'arc en ciel," Superman encounters a reluctant hero whose powers were passed down from his father, who in turn received them from Tibetan monks. Written by Cary Bates and illustrated by Curt Swan with inks by Frank Chiaramonte and colors by Gene D'Angelo, this 1980 French edition features a man haunted by abilities he never wanted—kept in the dark by a girlfriend whose hypnotic influence hides a dangerous secret. The cover, by Ross Andru and Dick Giordano, captures the surreal tone of a story where power and deception are woven into the sky.

Superman meets a man who was given powers by his father, who got them from Tibetan monks. The man has no desire to be a super-hero, and actually has a girlfriend who hypnotizes him into forgetting about the powers. What the man doesn't know is the woman is actually hypnotizing him into giving her his powers -- until Superman stops her, that is.
