As the light from Krypton's explosion finally reaches Earth, Superman works overtime to protect his adopted planet. But it's not to distract himself, as his friends suppose. Superman is looking for Brainiac who has once again threatened Earth. As Superman tries to force the villain away from Earth, Brainiac traps Superman and makes him watch the full force of the destruction of Krypton.
