“Le dernier souhait”

In "Le dernier souhait," wealthy yachtsman Ned Judson is summoned to a remote castle by a mysterious legacy, where he encounters the Brotherhood of Batmen—a secretive order led by the enigmatic Batman Number One. Convinced that the legend of Batman is not one man but four, Judson is drawn into a legacy he never sought, becoming Batman Number Four in a tradition that blurs the line between myth and mission. Written by Bill Finger and illustrated by Dick Sprang with inks by Charles Paris, the story unfolds with a tone of quiet intrigue, while Ross Andru and Dick Giordano deliver the striking cover.
