Superman: Sacrifice #[nn]
In "Power," Superman faces his greatest crisis yet when the Justice League confronts him at the Fortress of Solitude, bloodied and shaken after a brutal fight. As memories of a twisted battle with a mind-controlled Lois and a figure claiming to be Darkseid unravel, Superman struggles to reconcile what he remembers with what the League insists is true—his attack on Batman, under unknown influence. Written by Gail Simone and illustrated by John Byrne, with inks by Nelson, colors by Guy Major, and letters by Nick Napolitano, this pivotal issue features a striking cover by J. G. Jones.

In Superman's fortress, Green Lantern, Flash, Hawkman, and Black Canary confront Superman, who has blood on his hands. Superman tries to remember what happened, but now remembers differently the events of Superman #219. He remembers "Darkseid" kidnapping Lois, and forcing a boxing match between the two of them. After Superman wins on a technicality, "Darkseid" frees Lois from his control by killing her, which causes Superman to attack-to-kill "Darkseid". The JLA take Superman to the Watchtower, where they show him he really was attacking Batman, apparently under mind control.
